The Green Shed is a weekly farmers market run by the Tamborine Mountain & District Local Producers Association Inc (LPA), one of Mount Tamborine’s oldest organisations.

The LPA encourages suppliers to grow organically for health reasons but does not require growers to become certified in view of the cost of certification.

The Green Shed welcomes all local suppliers of organic produce. Local organic suppliers are all given preference over produce from off of Mount Tamborine.

However, many products do not grow well on the mountain such as pineapples, mangoes, apples etc. By offering produce from off the mountain as well as on the mountain The Green Shed have a wider range of produce and are able to offer a greater variety and provide a larger market for local producers.
